The Facts

In 1964 to 1976 the Chinese people were experiencing a terrible genocide that made many people lose their lives and there families. This was happening in China when the ruler of China, Mao Zedong saw that the Soviet Union was becoming communist. He thought that since they were that they would become communist also. Zedong “preceded excessive policy for socialism, reacting against Soviet and it led to the Cultural Revolution” (Galduroz Michael).”The Cultural Revolution entailed mandatory reforms instituted by the government to eradicate procommunist Chinese culture and to halt the increasingly capitalist leanings of the Chinese people” (Dillon, Michael). Young children were being set off to work in reforms and to be the “Red Guards”. These were Zedong’s handyman. This was all a fight between Capitalism and Communism in China.
